Responsibilities and rights

My responsibilities as the parent of an athlete

As a parent, you must demonstrate respect and good sportsmanship at all times toward your child, other people’s children, parents and all involved in your child’s environment.

The code of ethics of your child’s chosen sport serves to establish a framework for good sports practices. You are therefore responsible for respecting your code of ethics in order to be accountable and foster a healthy environment for all young athletes to fully benefit from their sport!

You should also remember that, as the parental authority, the parent is responsible for compensating any harm his or her child might have inflicted on another.
